OUR STORY

Nick Smith and Dan Zastrow have been close friends and colleagues for over a decade, having met while serving together onboard the USS Albuquerque (SSN-706), a US Navy nuclear powered submarine.

Onboard the Albuquerque, Nick and Dan worked side-by-side, hundreds of feet underwater operating a nuclear reactor and conducting submarine missions vital to national security.

They learned - through first hand experience in this uniquely complex and austere environment - how to make decisions with incomplete information, how to appreciate the rigorous procedures involved in operating one of man’s most complex machines, and how to apply process to ever changing scenarios. They share a common background rooted in integrity, character, and work-ethic.
